and so naturally i begin to wonder what this could be all about?....the traditional arabic coffee pot etc etc....anyway, i suppose that one can only assume that it is a foreign office number that both matt and toby had known about etc etc....all i can remember so far is that firstly matt had known i knew little or nothing about the middle-east in general, whereas he and toby had etc etc...secondly that he had decided to conflate the name 'matthew hedges' with two men....but 'why' - i have no idea, as yet:

'the importance of local actors'....what does that even mean?...the first time that i had read it...was in relation to prince andrew and those accused of being 'chinese spies' but who had been called 'actors' instead of 'spies' in court....the word appeared to be being used in the pejorative sense....is there a fine distinction between the two?...a loophole, perhaps - which gets those like younger 'n' the foreign office off the hook - regarding the other 'matthew hedges'....who knows, eh?...i'm just throwing things out there...when is a spy not a spy but an actor 'n' vice versa etc etc....go figure:
