let's have a look...the old 'we-have-to-pay-them-to-go' number i.e. breaking a contract?....hmmm....why not just publicly shame them by stating that they have been asked to leave of their own free will.....which would make it very awkward for them to stay on - despite still having a contract....instead of just paying them off?....although i'm sure that they would have done that if it were at all possible....anyway, the whole thing reminds me of that 'linda longbottom' number.....see previous notes upon 'all of that':
