....and what else, dazzlenation?...another book - borrowed from the local library 'killing time' by alan bennett.....on the shelves but not on their system - brand new....the self-service wouldn't let me take it out and so i had to go to the frontdesk etc etc.....and yes, we're still on 'time' as a metaphor etc etc....anyway, the blurb on the back states etc etc...hmmm....are we still on 'sir mills' and mike william's illustrations for that king arthur book etc etc...and yes, it had been mike - although he hadn't been paid for it, at the time....."a shock to the system" replies BI online...to find his illustrations published under somebody else's name?...no doubt, it was etc etc....oh and the following exchange most probably happened during covid - although seeing as i haven't read the book as yet etc etc:

'Mr Peckover, will you be wanting the foot feller?'

'Not today, thank you. I think I've just found the Holy Grail.'

'Well, don't bring it in', shouted Mrs McBryde. 'Wash it first'.
