I forgot to mention that yesterday a PHELAN plumber rang me up and was round in 15 minutes to have a look at the kitchen water tap. He unscrewed the silver disc around it and then showed me that the tap was 'stuck into its holder' even though it wobbled around...I was still a bit unsure because it looks as if could break off quite easily but he assured me that it was quite all right...I then asked him where I could turn off the water if the tap did come unstuck and I had it on at the time...he had a look around...then I remembered that 'white panel' by the side of the boiler...so he took it off and found the WATER TAP...it is bright GREEN even though that doesn't show up on the above photos...
