....and what else was to happen, this Monday morning?....well, I was to walk around mcdonald's-on-the-corner, in Clacton - this morning...to be accosted by one of beach's men...selling ALMANACs...."you look NICE!" he was to state, confidently...a play upon the word 'nice' in terms of pronunciation....the location in france i.e. Nice....anyway, this was all 'deja vu'....beach's men have done this number, 'so many times' and with an electric buzzer, in their hands....as they take the money from your hand etc etc....you are then led away....

....suffice to say, I didn't bother to respond to 'beach's mate' this time around....or the proferring of his almanac....go figure.
