OTHER NOTES:

and so this morning...i shall probably send an email to CHP (avoiding further contact with DSA until i've sorted it all out with CHP)...along the lines of:

Dear CHP

I was to receive this helpful reply back from DSA Electrical regarding my initial inquiry - see forwarded email.
However, what I am most concerned about - is the cost i.e. will CHP foot the bill of a DSA 'safety electrical test'?
Seeing as the DSA test is supposed to go on for 2 to 3 hours (see forwarded email) - and flat 2, belle court happens to be a one-bedroomed flat and not a mansion.

I would therefore like to ask the question - is 2 to 3 hours 'normal' for that type of safety electrical test - regarding a one-bedroomed flat? Because all of flat 2's plug sockets and light fixtures are working fine. The only problem, recently - had been a faulty smoke alarm - which i was to report immediately and has now been fixed.

You see - a CHP electrician was to visit my flat, recently - job number 80757836 'REPLACE A FAULTY SMOKE ALARM' and he didn't say anything about the need for a DSA 'safety electrical test' later on and so the whole thing has left me a bit puzzled.

Anyway, if CHP will not pay for DSA Electrical services - i would then like to know if that DSA 'safety electrical test' is optional, or not.

kind regards
Emily Gyde, flat 2, belle court, ellis road, clacton on sea, CO15 1FH
