anyway, CHP were also to leave a message...to ask me to ring up in order to make an appointment in order to fit a chain to my flat's frontdoor...curiously they still haven't answered 'in writing' as to what the cost might be....I will have to give them a call - tomorrow...I suppose....to find out - it is simply that my mobile costs so much to make calls.....despite being on a supposedly cheap tariff...and besides, I like things to be 'in writing' just to be on the safe side...
