oh and I can remember the CIA LAB trying to work out what had been coded into this building:
to me...it looked like a cross between a Stanley knife and an abstract sheep...well two of them...with a fleeting reference to that 'silent way' TEFL 'box of colour-coded blocks'...but seeing as the above was so simplistic in terms of white/black...circle/square...up/down etc - like switches...we were probably talking about a computer system...or digital system....
oh and I can also remember emet picking out this pic...it had reminded him of something...joined up the dots in some way...so that he could then, more easily understand the above architectural design...

cuisinaire rods...so we are looking at the foundation of a program...using the elementary 'white 1cm blocks'?
as emet was to say...it was interesting that the rods had been used firstly to represent numbers....
