oh and as I scrolled down to the bottom of the page...we have our 'old friend' mr putin...I wonder why?

it's all a bit cloudy grey...is that the main theme today then?

so let me see...the Russians paid a call...roughed you up a bit....hence the 'behind the curtain' reference...

anyway, I can remember being shown these photos before to ask 'is that your girlfriend when she was younger?' to then point to number 1....mr putin then pointed to number 2...along the lines of 'she would be more likely to be the girl above'....

the girl above is now reminding me of that Romanov princess - who used to live near to the central park in Katowice - see previous notes...

next up I was to look at each child's face....to ascertain where they were looking...and one boy was looking directly at the camera lens...in a supremely confident way...I wondered why...most of them including the 'miss jones' in the middle...are not looking happy at all - with her hands behind that 'crouching boy's neck'......a sort of V in the middle of the photo....

I was reminded of colin 'in youtube videos' because he often gives a darting look...directly into the camera lens...and that is 'odd' - most stars don't do it...they simply look at the interviewer...

the effect of somebody looking directly into a camera lens is to make immediate and almost 'personal' contact with the camera operator or the 'viewer at home'....it is a little unsettling...

the children in the above photo who are looking directly at the lens and not the photographer or anywhere else in the room....are rather like little 'mona lisas'...their eyes follow you 'from out of the photograph'....I remember now - it was gill who once told me to 'look directly into the lens' and not at the photographer...he had figured it was the best thing to do, for some reason...like the little boy on the top row - to the far right, is doing - see below:

let me see...having had another look at the above photo in more detail...it is the right eye of the little boy above...which is looking directly into the lens...and if I look at the right eye of the other children...well that tends to be looking at the camera lens....so what am I saying? "all mind split at an early age" replies BI ONLINE...well something along those lines....either that or looking at the camera lens/camera operator whilst keeping the other eye on what is going on around the room....something like that?...oh and only one child is grinning...the blond boy to the right - middle row...amazing what fun, it can be...attempting to analyse old photos...

and somebody's learned the art of looking directly into the lens, haven't they? see below:
