yesterday I was to receive my annual council tax bill...with a reduction in relation to benefits...how anybody can pay the full amount - if they are not in a job which pays a decent rather than 'minimum wage' salary...is beyond me...

anyway, I was annoyed to see that the council tax bill was dated 01 march and yet I was to receive it on the 19th march...to be paid by 01 april...which only left me  with 12 days to pay it. what if you didn't have the money in the bank, at the time? well you could opt for the 'instalment plan' but that only means harassment if you forget to pay a stage...etc etc...and harassment is heavy duty, isn't it? threatening letters - legal action/bailiffs etc...
