....remember that ELO song and 'a strange magic'...well Victorian medical scientists injecting themselves with 'plant extracts' and 'insect extracts' is bad enough...did they think that they would turn into triffids or flies? see previous notes upon kafka's metamorphosis....anyway, one can say that they might have damaged their own dna and that of their children but if the gene pool is wide enough...in relation to their descendents...not that much damage, I would have thought....however when you begin to look at the use and abuse of THEREMIN...see previous notes upon the british army, having 'acquired' an ill cult theremin 'box'...to set it off, upon deserted MOD land in Anglia...to then find out that as you twisted the dial...it attracted different 'native species' to the area....insects, in particular....of a specific type, depending upon the frequency....

...cross reference the above with Duncan Campbell/paul mckintyre behind that BBC 'SWARM series'....experiment, in a stadium...I.e. the camera with a theremin device in it...which was to attract 'every bee' within the general area, surrounding that stadium....well, what can one say? 'a strange magic' indeed...and if you were to approach dartington hall, at night...whilst an 'owl rite' was going on...well you would 'feel it' palpably...a certain 'forcefield'....terrifying....but at bottom level - it is all science and not magic.
