....and lastly 'a shot' of the sun...19/12/2014....when the sun is at it's most powerful....because it is really large, in the sky ....and so it appears to be 'closer to the earth'....during these 'winter days'.....

funny how 'the larger, the sun becomes' the more powerful its rays become, in terms of LIGHT but not in terms of HEAT....and the colder we all become.....'with our feet upon the ground - of planet earth'.....go figure....

i remember remarking to hulbrusch upon the anomaly, within a british climate....you have a huge sun, in winter (but not in summer)....if the sun were closer to the earth, then it should be hotter....not a winter climate?

so in winter....the sun is closer....in terms of 'blinding light' but not in terms of heat....

in summer....it is a distant, small ball of light....but it exudes extreme heat.....

....go figure.....
